Body 1 (that movie thing)

At first I was going to do this review on “The Legend of The Guardians” but the honest truth. While this movie is visually stunning there is very little character development which leaves a lot to be desired. So I changed to review “Iron Man 2” which just came out on DVD this tuesday. Its an action adventure sci-fi movie. It follows the genres almost to the teeth its a high speed action movie Large special effect scenes keeping you on the edge of your seat. Almost any movie today is an adventure movie the whole heros journey mentality that hollywood is in lately. Sci-fi applies to any movies with superheros or high super technology.
The basic criteria for a movie to be good or not, would be things like immersion how deep it pulls you in. To make you care about the character, develop them so you can relate nobody likes someone who is perfect. Tony stark is a flawed anti-hero he struggles with every choice he has to make. This allows you to relate to him on a personal level like he could be your friend.
I think just about anyone would like this movies it has parts that everyone can relate to. It keep action up with over dramatic violence but nothing gruesome only thing that dies is robots. Little swearing so even the most introspected will enjoy it.
There are very few stereotypes that are exploited in this movie it goes against a lot of them. Watch and you will see.

Well seeing as some of us that believe that a review should not give away spoilers, or ruin major plot chunks for the readers who have not viewed. So seeing as that severely limits my choices so I am going to re-due this review with the movie “Kung-Pow: Enter the Fist” it’s a B-movie no big actors very small budget. Kung-pow is the story of the “the chosen one” and his quest to stop the evil council. The evil council’s main enforcer Master Pain is the villain for this movie, later to be known as Betty, is the villain from the Movie “Tiger and Crane fist” a kung-fu movie from the late 70s. The director added new footage to this film and a completely new audio track while keeping the kung-fu movie ascetic Steve Oedekerk uses contemporary characters and splices them into the footage, weaving the new and old together. As the main character, The Chosen One, Oedekerk sets off to avenge the deaths of his parents at the hands of kung-fu legend Master Pain. Along the way, he encounters some strange characters, one of which is a cow trained in the martial arts The B-movie genre is set with movies like “Evil Dead 3: Army of Darkness”, “Rocky Horror Picture Show”, and finally “Pulp Fiction”. It’s a broad and varied film category.

            Kung-Pow’s main story is that the chosen one is born with a “mark of wisdom” a face on his tongue that can talk and eat which he names “tonguie”. This mark gives him unparalleled skills in martial arts. This movie is fantastically absurd it’s eccentric and fantastic; you will either love or hate this film there is no middle ground as with most b-movies. The cast of this movie has it all a Cow that knows martial arts, a man who was trained wrong to think winning was losing and losing was winning as a horrible joke. Rent it most places have it and it will be an experience at least.(clip from the movie)

Introduction

I, Jacob Powers, am as my friends would describe, Eccentric, Brilliant, casual narcissist, pretty good guy, and generally unique. I decided this being open ended and all to make it an introduction to everyone who will be reading. With this I will start I dislike blogs I find them to be an unevolved social medium as forums used to be and yes someday when the right people start blogging maybe that will change but until then, No. so Personally I am on the band wagon of Games are art debate that is going on along with the standing of net neutrality should be imposed upon the currently high-speed ISP companies. So for everyone who does not know these arguments let me elaborate on the topics. The games are art argument is along the lines that video games as a medium are profane and otherwise rot your soul by playing them. And with out them being considered an art form they will not be considered protected by the 1^st amendment. Now net neutrality is something very big going on right now that very few people outside the tech circles know about. Have you the reader ever heard of it? Net neutrality is something FCC is trying to impose on commercial companies such as charter and comcast that are trying to limit bandwidth usage to certain sites they view unfavorable or the usage of peer to peer networks. But in this process they monitor your in and out connections which is against their own privacy policies. The FCC is trying to deem that the internet falls under the same restrictions phones do today of not being able to limit your calling to certain numbers they can keep record but under no account are they to monitor your calls. Now peer to peer networks are not all for internet piracy there are many many legitimate uses of peer to peer file sharing networks, such as MMO systems that link patch downloading for better speeds and open domain anything, not everything is bad.
